The farmhouse Il Colombaiolo is located 500 meters from Pienza, the village of Pius the Second, along the road that leads to the Val d’Orcia, and 400 meters from the church Pieve di Corsignano. Both Pienza and the Val d’Orcia are inscribed on Unesco’s World Heritage List.
The farm is perfectly situated to offer its guests a panoramic view of Pienza and the Val d’Orcia, against the backdrop of Monte Amiata, and the villages of Radicofani, Castiglione d’Orcia, San Quirico d’Orcia and Montalcino.

This is a family-run, working farm nestled in 30 hectares of land that is planted in olive groves, vineyards, grain, lawns and a vegetable garden. The owner lives on the farm all year.

The farmhouse itself dates from the 15th century and has been recently restructured, providing guests with every comfort while they relax in the beauty of nature.

Holidaying at the Agriturismo is one of the best ways to fully experience the delights of this property, as you have the opportunity to observe at close hand the various activities of a working farm, including ploughing, sowing and harvesting grapes and wheat. You are also welcome to assist the owners in harvesting the olives, from which the owners produce an excellent, extra-virgin olive oil that is for sale at the farm.

In addition, the Agriturismo is located in a natural reserve where you may encounter pheasants, hare, various types of birds and deer, as well as the farm animals: hens, cockerels, plovers, turkeys, ducks, geese and the friendly farm dogs.

Enjoy a leisurely walk far away from the traffic or simply relax stretched out by the pond, surrounded by lush, natural vegetation. Alternatively, borrow one of the free mountain bikes and discover the countryside that way.

-the lakes of Montepulciano, Chiusi and Trasimeno
-the cities of Siena and Arezzo are about 50 km away, Florence is an hour and a half away by car, Perugia one hour, Rome two hours with the possibility of taking the Via Cassia through the Val d’Orcia
-the Abbeys of Monte Oliveto Maggiore and Sant Antimo, and Cortona’s Basilica di Santa Margherita
